If you have a traffic problem in North-east Jackson, don’t count on speed humps to solve it unless, of course, you applied to have humps installed more than a year ago.
The city of Jackson is no longer accepting applications for speed humps, with officials saying they no longer have a way to pay for them.
Between eight and 10 years ago, the city received a $2 million federal congressional earmark specifically to pay for traffic-calming measures like speed humps.
