They say the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. You would think that I could do a better job marking the entrances into my secluded haunts, but the serpentine trails that I travel say otherwise. I also try to minimize travel time in the truck on the way to the woods. This is primarily due to me running late due to some unforeseen delay. With that said, travels to my local hunting spot in Madison County dictate the travel time is shortest when I leave my humble abode and cross the dam of Lake Caroline. The drive is relaxing and the landscape is very appealing.
