WHAT DOES it take to get a building permit?
How long does it take to get a property approved?
It all depends on the contractor and how long construction takes, say Jackson city officials.
To be eligible for a building permit in Jackson, a contactor must be bonded and licensed with the city and state. He or she needs to have a $5,000 security bond with the city and have a business license in the county in which he or she lives.
