Residents in two Northside neighborhoods are being targeted by a scam artist who is attempting to take advantage of their good nature over the phone.
Authorities and neighborhood leaders are urging residents, if they’re contacted by the alleged scammer, to write down his name and number and report it immediately to the police.
“We’ve had several phone calls from a person posing as a neighbor who lives three houses down saying he need(s) money for a car part,” said Lake Trace Homeowners Association President Jimmy Stiglets.
