Demand for area independent schools reaching capacity

SPACES ARE FILLING up at the Northside’s private and parochial schools.
The majority of schools in Northeast Jackson and South Madison County are nearing or have reached enrollment capacity for the fall, and are now putting students on waiting lists or in wait pools.
Schools are still urging parents to apply, saying that some spots could open up this summer as families relocate for new employment.
Other schools say they will adjust their faculty and staff to meet the needs of more students.
