DERRICK JOHNSON has twice blown off the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), and along with it the thousands of Hinds County taxpayers that he’s supposed to be working for.
Twice, the federal agency has requested Johnson, the county’s redistricting consultant, to provide additional information on the district lines he drew up for the county in early 2011.
The lines have yet to be approved.
