Madison police researching use of cameras at entryways
THE CITY OF MADISON is not known for crime. And city officials want to keep it that way. Police are researching the possibility of installing security cameras at major entryways to the city, including the I-55 exit and Highway 51.
Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler first mentioned the potential security measure at a meeting of the Madison Organization of Homeowner Associations (MONA) a few months ago, and she recently told the Sun the cameras were a top priority.
