REDISTRICTING is wrapping up in the city of Madison, with a public hearing scheduled for August 21 and possible adoption of new ward lines September 4.
“We have seen the options and we’ll narrow it down,” said Madison Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler.
“What we’re trying to do is not split subdivisions or precincts. That’s the main thing. When you have someone [who lives] across the street from you voting [in another ward], that’s so confusing.”
