MADISON MAYOR Mary Hawkins Butler didn’t get exactly what she wanted with the state Legislature’s redistricting plan, but she says the city is still in a good position to have a strong voice at the Capitol.
After 2010 census data was released last year, Butler was pushing for the House to have a district containing only Madison. City officials also wanted all Madison residents included in one Senate district.
