Mr. and Mrs. Derrick Freeman announce the engagement of their daughter, Catherine Leigh Freeman, to Steven Ware Barnett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Steven Barnett of Gulfport.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Gail Seely and the late Warren B. Seely Jr. of Moss Point, Angie Freeman and the late Edgar Freeman of Cleveland, Tenn., and Millie Griffin and the late Robert Griffin of Cullman, Ala.
