Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Alan Newman of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Wingfield Newman, to Nathaniel Bilbo Cameron, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyndon Johnson Cameron.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Arthur Newman of Biloxi and the late Arthur Barry Potwin of Greenwood, and Mary Nell Sallis Baltar of Jackson.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Estelle Johnson Cameron and the late Herschel Cameron of Baxterville, and Mr. and Mrs. George Bilbo of Purvis.
