New beats being implemented in Precinct Four

MORE POLICE coverage is on tap for the Northside, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD) coming through on its promise to increase the number of beats in Precinct Four.
The precinct’s new beat structure will be implemented this month.
A beat restructuring ceremony is slated for April 23 at Fondren Hall, at 4330 North State St., near Precinct Four headquarters. The event will start at 6 p.m., and is open to the public.
