No change: Bill to give Jackson majority on oversight panel killed in Senate

Members of the Mississippi Senate apparently don’t trust Jackson taxpayers to make their own decisions.
That fact can be seen in the Senate’s lack of support for a measure that would allow Jackson to control its own destiny when it comes to spending taxpayer dollars.
A bill that would have revised the makeup of a commission designed to oversee how Jackson would spend a temporary one-cent sales tax has died.
