USUALLY WHEN Denson Robinson talks to the media, he’s pretty matter of fact.
But when he starts talking about the city of Madison’s volunteer fire department, even he says he gets “passionate.”
Robinson is the city’s public works director but has also served as a volunteer firefighter for the past 33 years.
He and the rest of the 30-person volunteer team have recently turned their duties over to the paid department and transitioned to a reserve position.
