The real estate market on the Northside has appeared to pick up in recent months, but overall sales for 2012 are still down when compared to pre-recession numbers.
Multiple Listing Service (MLS) of Jackson reports that for May 2012, home sales were up 7.5 percent from May 2011. Median sales prices were also up, 11.3 percent from May 2011. For 2012, January was the only month where sales were below the previous year, with increases being reported in April and February. Sales remained flat in March.
