One Lake Plan unaffected by federal budget cuts

Despite the sequester, studies on the One Lake Plan will likely be uninterrupted.
With $85 billion in federal budget cuts, including billions in reductions for defense, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will likely face some cutbacks.
But because the $2 million One Lake study is being conducted - and funded - by the Pearl River Vision Foundation (PRVF) and not the corps, work to determine if One Lake is the best choice to provide flood control along the Pearl River will be unimpeded.
