Quentin Whitwell’s plan to turn Parham Bridges Park into a world-class tennis center continues to gain momentum.
Less than a month after learning that the Mississippi Legislature had allocated spending $100,000 for park upgrades, the Jackson Ward One councilman secured another $50,000 in donations from the man the park is named after, Parham Bridges.
Additionally, another $10,000 has been put in the bank, thanks to a gift from an unnamed healthcare company, Whitwell said.
