BAIT CARS HAVE become popular across the United States, so much so that YouTube is flooded with videos and Court TV has its own series showcasing the vehicles being put in action.
The concept has caught on locally as well, with both the Jackson and Ridgeland police departments enlisting decoy vehicles to get crooks off the street. Madison authorities have not used the vehicles, but would be open to the idea if the need arose.
