Redistricting hearing scheduled August 16

ONE Ward One neighborhood will likely have a new council person after tonight.

The Jackson City Council is expected to vote on new ward lines following a public hearing at the Jackson Medical Mall.

The meeting is slated for 6 p.m, Thursday, August 16, at the mall’s center court.

The public is invited to attend.

Plans being presented likely will include proposals to relocate one of two Ward One neighborhoods to Ward Seven.
