POPULATIONS are shifting in Madison County, and the school board’s redistricting plan reflects that.
Late last month, the Madison County School Board approved a plan redrawing their district lines based on 2010 census data.
Redistricting, whether done by a school board, city or county, equalizes district populations and thus ensures that each district has equal representation on the governing board.
