THE ECONOMY appears to be rebounding, and along with it, so does the Mississippi Museum of Art (MMA).
After experiencing a drop in attendance and having to make significant budget cuts as a result of the Great Recession, the museum is making a comeback and will likely be stronger and leaner than before.
With the opening of its new exhibit featuring the work of the creators of Curious George, along with the completion of MMA’s new art garden last year, museum officials are expecting strong bumps in attendance and donations.
