Navy Seaman Timothy C. Bell Jr., son of Marty H. Bell and Timothy C. Bell Sr. recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Bell is a 2010 graduate of Madison Ridgeland Academy.

Army National Guard Pvt. Melbron J. Gardner has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Gardner is the son of Jack and Judy Gardner of North Deerfield Drive, Canton. He is a 2010 graduate of The Veritas School.
