University med center plans $120 million in new projects

A NEW SCHOOL of medicine along with a cancer and biomedical research facility will be the cornerstones of more than $120 million in new construction on tap for the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC).
The hospital is planning to spend $60 million to construct a new school of medicine (SOM), and an additional $36 million on the research facility.
