Chasity Lynn Johnson and James Kiley Thames Jr. were united in marriage at 6 p.m. March 28 at First Baptist Church of Jackson. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor John Adams.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Delano Johnson of Carthage. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Kiley Thames.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a satin halter gown with a split front of beaded lace and lace-up back and chapel train. She wore an elbow-length veil and carried a hand-tied bouquet of white calla lilies and white roses.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was Jennifer Taylor Anderson of Madison. Bridesmaids were Allison Steen Harris of Oxford; and sister-in-law of the bride Meredith Cleland Johnson of Ridgeland.

Flower girls were Anna Claire Harris, Virginia Ines Harris, and Josephine Lucille Harris, all of Oxford.

The bridegroom’s father was best man. Groomsmen were Bryan Edwin Thames of Memphis, brother of the bridegroom; and Chad Lane Johnson of Ridgeland, brother of the bride.

Nuptial music was presented by Jane Joseph, organist.

Following the ceremony the bride’s parents hosted a reception at River Hills Club where guests danced to the music of the Rainmakers.

On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner honoring the bridal party, family, and friends at Tico’s.

Following a wedding trip to Half Moon Bay, Calif., the couple lives in Ridgeland, where the bride is an oncology dietitian at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center and the bridegroom is a marketing agent for EMC Insurance.
