As the third part of the series of columns called “Tracing the Emmerich Line,” this column will inform y’all about my grandfather, John Oliver Emmerich Jr., known to many as J.O.

John Oliver Emmerich Sr. begat J.O. Emmerich Jr. on April 16, 1929. He was born to Lyda Will Emmerich after his sister, Ida Fae, was born in 1926.
