But as the economy recovers, the longtime executive director of the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is excited about the nonprofit’s future.

Beattie said the group is implementing a long-term strategic plan to ensure that MSO not only will remain sound financially, but will reach new people across the state.
