Retail sales up for metro area; Hinds County leads Madison

CONSUMERS ARE more confident, and retail sales are up in the tri-county area. 

In fact, for the fiscal year thus far (July through March were the latest statistics available), Hinds County’s retail sales are up even more than in Madison County.

Officials aren’t certain what specifically has boosted sales in Hinds County or the greater metro.
