HOW MUCH will it cost to clean up Jackson’s waste?
According to a contract recently approved by the Jackson City Council, it will run about $8.9 million.
The city recently hired Terra Renewal Services to remove more than 97,000 tons, yes, tons, of sludge from the Savannah Street Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Director of Communications Chris Mims said the hire is a step in the right direction in addressing wastewater violations at the plant.
