Old Farmers' Market saved by Congress

FEWER CONGRESSIONAL earmarks means the old farmers’ market on West Street won’t be closing anytime soon.

The market was on the chopping block, at least until the mid-term elections, when Republicans swept the U.S. House of Representatives and earmarks became politically unpopular.
