MADISON COUNTY supervisors listed several reasons last week for firing Board Attorney Eric Hamer and replacing him with former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Mike Espy.
But perhaps District 4 Supervisor Karl Banks said it best: “It’s just politics.”
All five supervisors said Hamer had been a great board attorney for the past four and a half years, but they all had reasons for wanting to hire someone else.
