All-state baseball

The Mississippi Association of Independent Schools recently honored two members of the Madison-Ridgeland Academy 2012 championship baseball team. Blake Ainsworth (left), senior third-baseman with a .368 batting average and .906 fielding percentage, was named to the MAIS All-state second team. Ryan Ward (right), junior shortstop and pitcher with a 1.60 ERA and a .432 batting average, was named to the MAIS All-state first team.
