Several Jackson Prep baseball players received Easy 87.7 FM Player Awards at the end-of-the year ceremony. They include William Griffin, Ross Renfrow, Impact Player of the Year; William Mounger, Role Player of the Year; Christian Hughes, Most Improved Player; and Jay Vise, Role Player of the Year.
The Mississippi Girlchoir announced the selection of a new executive director, Elizabeth Briscoe.
Edwin Welsh was among those honored on the Lewis University Deans' List for spring semester 2012. Welsh was studying biology.
