
You can tell Jackson’s Precinct Four Commander James McGowan loves his job. From the time he was a child, he wanted to be a policeman. He loves the job so much he would do it for free.
With a wife and family, that might be a bit much to ask, but you can’t listen to Commander McGowan without feeling like he’s the right man for overseeing northeast Jackson’s 22-square-mile precinct filled with 46,000 people.
