New Stage hosts casting call

PRODUCERS will have hundreds of auditions on tape after casting calls were held at New Stage Theatre last week for the upcoming movie “As I Lay Dying,” to be filmed in Canton this fall.

“We had over 300 people come, and a lot of people read for a role. They read from the script, which is pretty close to the novel [by William Faulkner],” said Francine Reynolds, artistic director at New Stage.
