WE ARE OFF and running. We have suffered and have endured the extreme heat in July, cabin fever has set in. A break in the schedule is to attend the Natchez Food and Wine Festival. This festival is a regularly scheduled event the last weekend in July. This is a busy weekend for Natchez, attracting hundreds of gourmet buffs and chefs from the mid-south region.
Maneuvering out of Jackson, we wanted to miss the seven mile detour on the Natchez Trace. Entering I-220 and then on to I-20, we got on the trace at Clinton.
