Miss Griffin, Payne planning Sept. 22 wedding

Mr. and Mrs. James Alton Griffin announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebekah Ann Griffin, to Jeffrey Michel Payne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eugene Payne Jr. of Birmingham.

 The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. John William Griffin and the late Mr. Griffin of Fayetteville, Ark., and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Samuel Grant Jr. of Braxton.
