Funds needed: Millions needed to cover costs for federally mandated upgrades

Jackson city officials are considering all options to fund what will likely be hundreds of millions of dollars in federally mandated water and sewer upgrades.

Director of Communications Chris Mims said the city has some federal funding authorized and is considering going to the state’s revolving loan program for low-interest borrowing.
