
Mississippi Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) Executive Director David Derrick announced his retirement recently at the MAIS annual board of directors meeting effective at the conclusion of the 2012-13 school year. Derrick assumed the director’s position in the fall of 1993 after serving two years as the MAIS director of instruction, and in administrative positions at a number of member schools. He succeeded Don E. Souder who had served as the director since 1975.
