Bollywood and Old Hollywood glamour will shine at the Jackson Symphony League’s 56th annual Symphony Ball September 19, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Country Club of Jackson.
Slide the City is coming to Jackson July 31 and August 1 on Amite Street in downtown Jackson. Starting at State Street and descending down toward the fairgrounds, this giant four-lane waterslide will be set onto pads in the middle of the Amite Street hill.
The Greater Belhaven Foundation’s 11th annual Bright Lights, Belhaven Nights (BLBN) event is scheduled for August 15 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Event entrance fees are $10 for adults and $1 for children ages 12 and under.
The Mississippi Chorus presents professional musicians from central Mississippi with its sixth annual Summer Showcase. This fund-raising event begins at 6:30 p.m., August 1 in the ballroom of the Union Station train depot in downtown Jackson.
The Mississippi Children’s Museum Partners will present the second annual Neon Nights July 18 in the Literacy Garden. Beginning at 7:30 p.m. guests will enjoy a night of food truck favorites, drinks, and live music by the Compozitionz band to benefit the museum.
