Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Burnham Smith of Brandon and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ray Landrum of San Antonio, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Dionne Landrum, to Aaron Guy King, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alan King of Madison.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul D. Johnson of Ellisville, Betty Landrum of Magee and the late Frank Landrum, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall C. Smith Jr. and the late Joan Smith, all of Hattiesburg.

She is also the great-granddaugther of Felice Vaiden Fisher of Winona and the late John L. Fisher Jr.

She is a 2001 graduate of Oak Grove High School and attended Jones County Junior College and Belhaven College.

She was graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she received a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

She is a nurse at St. Dominic Hospital.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of June S. Mullins and the late Virgil Guy King of Franklin, Ohio, and the late Betty Hunterman and the late Calvin Hunterman of North Vernon, Ind.

He is a 2000 graduate of Madison Central High School and the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2005.

He is a chemistry teacher at Madison Central High School.

The couple will exchange vows April 7 at 2 p.m., at Trinity Presbyterian Church.
