Miss Wright, Fancher plan July 14 ceremony

Mr. and Mrs. Michael John Wright of Brandon announce the engagement of their daughter, Leigh Anne Wright, to James Matthew Fancher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Dale Fancher of Red Bay, Ala.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles McNair of Ridgeland, and Mr. and Mrs. Archie Wright of Collinsville.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Lora Hall and the late James Eules Hall, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Dale Fancher, all of Golden.

Miss Wright is a graduate of Northwest Rankin High School.

She was graduated magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi where she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and was the chaplain of the Pi Beta Phi sorority.

She will begin teaching second grade in the fall in the DeSoto County School District.

Fancher is a graduate of Red Bay High School.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Mississippi.

He is pursuing his master of divinity at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Cordova, Tenn., and serves as the associate pastor and youth minister at Oakland First Baptist Church in Oakland, Tenn.

The couple will exchange vows July 14 at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison at 2 p.m.

A reception will be held following the ceremony.

After a wedding trip, the couple will live in Cordova.
