Mr. and Mrs. Gregory M. Mitchell of Madison announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsey Dale Mitchell, to Michael Terence McShea, son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick J. McShea of Columbia.

Maternal grandparents of the bride-elect are Frances Ainsworth and the late Dale Ainsworth, and paternal grandparents are Esther Fabbricante and the late Dr. Charles F. Mitchell, all of Brandon.

Maternal grandparents of the prospective bridegroom are the late Mr. and Mrs. Garvin H. Allen of Columbia. Paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. John F. McShea of Willimantic, Conn.

Miss Mitchell was graduated with honors from Madison Central High School in 2003.

She was graduated from the University of Mississippi in August 2007, with a degree in psychology, and plans to attend nursing school.

She was a member of Phi Mu sorority at Ole Miss.

McShea was graduated with honors from Columbia Academy in 2003.

He was graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi with a degree in chemical engineering in May 2007.

He is a process engineer with Pioneer Natural Resources in Dallas.

The wedding will be held January 26 at 6 p.m. at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Madison with a reception immediately following at the Mississippi Craft Center.
