Jill Adelle Meacham and Dr. David Leon Dale were united in marriage August 18 at 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Brookhaven.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wayne Meacham Jr. of Brookhaven. The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Leon Lum Dale of Brandon.

Dr. Jon Daniels officiated the ceremony. Nuptial music was presented by Steve Russell, organist; Helen Meacham, aunt of the bride, pianist; Jake Patrick, violinist; Mark Eakes, cousin of the bride, and Christy Ketchum, vocalists.

The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore an ivory beaded lace over silk satin gown with a modified sweetheart neckline and A-line silhouette which contained a chapel length train. The lace was decorated with beadwork. With her gown, the bride wore a fingertip-length veil of silk illusion. Her hand-tied bouquet consisted of Eskimo and Vendela roses, Rosita Vendela roses, white lisianthus and freesia, and lily of the valley.

The bride’s sisters served as honor attendants: Jenny Byrd was matron of honor and Julie Meacham, maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Holly Seymour, sister of the bridegroom; Melissa Meacham, sister-in-law of the bride; Lillian Reed; Jamie Higdon; and Denise Mallett. They wore taupe, floor-length tissue taffeta two-piece ensembles. They each carried hand-tied bouquets of orange unique roses, Vendela and lipstick roses, stock, green hypericum berries, and alstroemeria.

Dr. Dale served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Jay Meacham, brother of the bride; Cooper Veazey; Brad Brashier; Spencer Manning; Dr. Brent Bowling; and Dr. Ric Grenfell.

Program and registry attendant was Patty Hammond. Carolyn Boteler directed the wedding.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a seated reception in the fellowship hall of the church. On the eve of the wedding, the bridegroom’s parents hosted a seated dinner at the Country Club of Jackson.

After a wedding trip to Cap Juluca in Anguilla, B.W.I., the couple is at home in Brandon.

The bride is associated with Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance as editor of field publications and the bridegroom is a veterinarian at Briarwood Animal Hospital.
