The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Creagher Turner and the late Leigh Watkins III of Jackson.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Doyel Phelps of Meridian, and Russell Theodore Florreich of West Point.
Miss McNeel is a 2001 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School and a 2006 graduate from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in architecture.
At State, she served as the president of the Mississippi State Chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students and member of Delta Gamma sorority.
She was presented by the Debutante Club of Mississippi.
McNeel completed a one year elected term in Washington, D.C., as the 2006-2007 national vice president of the American Institute of Architecture Students.
She is an intern architect at Guild Hardy Architects in Jackson and is serving as the 2008-2009 Gulf States regional associates director for the American Institute of Architects.
Florreich is a 2001 graduate with highest honors from Meridian High School and a 2006 graduate from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in architecture.
Florreich was a research assistant for the Mississippi State University Research and Demonstration House.
He also served as a design camp counselor for the College of Architecture, ART + Design for two consecutive summers.
Florreich is an intern architect at JBHM Architects in Jackson and serves on the board of directors of AIA Mississippi.
The couple will exchange wedding vows at 6 p.m. April 5 at First Presbyterian Church.
