Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hibbett Neel Jr. announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Elizabeth Neel, to Benjamin Jackson Boteler, son of Dr. and Mrs. William Louis Boteler.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hibbett Neel of Smyrna, Tenn., and the late Colonel and Mrs. Douglas Wilburn Mitchell of Baton Rouge.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Lillian Jackson Boteler and the late Louis Fairley 全kin’ Boteler of Raymond, and Dr. and Mrs. Jack Locke Herrin of Magee.

Amy Elizabeth Neel is a graduate of Belhaven College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

She is a real estate broker with Prudential Gateway Real Estate in Madison.

Benjamin Jackson Boteler is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in business and a minor in real estate.

He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

He is a real estate appraiser with Greer Sykes Appraisal Service in Madison, broker/owner of Boteler Real Estate LLC, and a licensed builder.

The couple will exchange vows April 5 at the Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle.

A reception will follow at Providence Hill Farm.
