Mary Jane Hollis of Columbus announces the engagement of her daughter, Cory Rene Hollis, to Chad Benson Waldrop, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carl Waldrop of Baton Rouge, formerly of Ridgeland.

Miss Hollis is also the daughter of the late Steven Randall Hollis.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert Edward Rhodes and the late Livie Bunch Rhodes of Yazoo City, and Mr. and Mrs. Dempsey Hollis of Columbus.

Miss Hollis is a 2004 graduate of New Hope High School and a 2008 graduate of Mississippi State University.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Carolyn Mathis Jones and the late Earl Benson Jones of Madison, and Elinor Hansen Waldrop and the late William Marell Waldrop of Kilgore, Texas.

He is a 2000 graduate of Madison Central High School and a 2004 graduate of Mississippi State University where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

He is North Mississippi area sales manager for Ikon Office Solutions.

The couple will exchange vows May 31 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Starkville, with Father John Bohn officiating.

The couple will live in Tupelo.
