Mr. and Mrs. Robert Henderson Brister Sr. announce the engagement of their daughter, Morgan Leigh Brister, to William Andrew Hegi, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Joe Hegi Jr.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Harlan Powell of Mena, Ark., and Jeanette Brister and the late Mr. Walter Mather Brister of Vaughan.

Miss Brister is a 2004 honor graduate of Jackson Preparatory School and a 2008 summa cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy.

At State, she was a MSU Roadrunner and a member of the Baptist Student Union Leadership Team.

Miss Brister is pursuing her master’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State University.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Darius Stubbs and the late Mr. James Crain, and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Joe Hegi Sr., all of El Dorado, Ark.

He is a 2005 honor graduate of Madison Central High School and a 2008 graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in real estate and mortgage financing.

At the university, he was a MSU Roadrunner and a member of Freshman Forum.

Hegi is pursuing his master’s degree in business administration from Mississippi State University.

The couple will exchange vows July 26 at Broadmoor Baptist Church.
