Anne Elizabeth Seward and Deaver Hiatt Collins will be united in marriage in Nashville, August 16 at Christ Church Cathedral.

Miss Seward is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Evans Seward Jr. of Elizabethton, Tenn.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Evans Seward of Johnson City, Tenn., and of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Earl Farris of Greenville, S.C.

Collins is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Deaver Collins Jr.

He is the grandson of Mrs. Warren Arthur Hiatt of Jackson and the late Dr. Warren Arthur Hiatt of Magnolia, and of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Deaver Collins of Nashville.

The bride-elect was graduated with high honors from Science Hill High School.

She received her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in mathematics and computer science from Vanderbilt University and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Lambda Delta, and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies.

She received her master’s degree in computer science from Vanderbilt University.

She is a software engineer with Computer Technology Solutions in Birmingham.

The prospective bridegroom was graduated with high honors from St. Andrew’s Episcopal School where he was a Faculty Scholar, a National Merit Scholar, and an Alpha Omega graduate.

He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Princeton University and his Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University School of Law.

He is an associate with Adams and Reese LLP law firm in Birmingham.

Following the wedding in Nashville, the couple will live in Birmingham.
