Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Renea Jones of Ridgeland announce the engagement of their daughter, Jordan Elizabeth Jones, to Wirt Adams Yerger IV, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wirt Adams Yerger III.

Miss Jones is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Allen Derivaux of Vicksburg, and Mr. and Mrs. Pal Renea Jones of Ridgeland.

A 2004 graduate of Jackson Preparatory School, Miss Jones received a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in psychology from the University of Mississippi in 2008.

At Ole Miss, she was a member of Mortar Board and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies and was included in “Who’s Who Among America’s Colleges and Universities.”

She also served as secretary of Chi Omega sorority.

In 2005, Miss Jones was presented by the Debutante Club of Mississippi.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Dr. James David Biggers III and the late Mrs. Biggers of Corinth, and Mr. and Mrs. Wirt Adams Yerger Jr. of Jackson.

A 2004 honors graduate of Jackson Preparatory School, Yerger was graduated in 2008 with distinction from the University of Virginia where he received a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering with a minor in engineering business.

At Virginia, he was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, was a participant in Reformed University Fellowship ministry, and served as treasurer, then president, of Sigma Chi fraternity.

The couple will exchange vows October 11 at St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church.

Following the wedding, the couple will make their home in Dallas.
