Mr. and Mrs. Edward Arnold Hendricks announce the engagement of their daughter, Olivia Porter Hendricks, to Matthew Parker Lipscomb, son of Lt. Gen. and Mrs. James Harvey Lipscomb III of Greenville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. John Porter Benson of Madison and the late Mr. Benson, and Mrs. Vernon Merrell Hendricks and the late Mr. Hendricks of Grenada. Miss Hendricks, a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, is an occupational therapist with Kidsense Therapy in Lake Village, Ark.

The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Meyer Bowman Jr. of Greenwood, and Mrs. James Harvey Lipscomb Jr. and the late Mr. Lipscomb of Hattiesburg. Lipscomb is a graduate of Delta State University where he received a master’s degree in business administration. He is a district supervisor for Lipscomb Oil Company in Greenville.

The couple will exchange vows July 18 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Greenville.
